Pangaea River Rafting

We respect your privacy, and we want you to rest assured that the information we gather on you, either before or after you make a reservation, will not be sold, shared or transmitted to any third party entities.

Where we collect your information and what information we collect:

Online and by Phone
Names, address, emails, phone numbers, ages of children on a trip, dietary restrictions, etc. We collect this data to help you pick the most suitable trip for your group, time of year, water level and expectation. This information also helps us prepare for you and your group before you arrive. This information ensures that we are able to communicate with you before the trip incase any trip details should change due to weather, water levels, personnel, etc. This information also helps us communicate to you how you and your group should prepare for your trip.

By phone we will collect your credit card number to hold your reservation. Two weeks prior to your trip, your credit card will be charged 50% of the total amount of your trip. The full amount will be collected after the trip. Your credit card number guarantees your trip date and also guarantees your payment according to our cancellation policy.

Release Waivers
Once you arrive for your trip, we will ask you to sign a release waiver. On that waiver we will ask for every participants mailing address, phone number, email and signature. We also collect the address, email, phone numbers of parents or guardians who sign release forms for children under the age of 18 years old. We keep these on record for seven years, and then destroy them.

What we do with your information:

Credit Card Numbers
We will bill your credit card number 100% of the total cost of your trip two weeks before the trip date. If you do not show the day of your trip, we will charge your credit card the total amount due. Your credit card is kept on file with third party vedors, Authorize.net and Big Sky Commerce.

Reservation Confirmation
If you book a trip online, we will use your contact information to confirm your reservation and make sure you have all the details you and your group need to have a smooth trip. Without your complete contact information, we will not reserve your date.

Follow-up
Often we get inquiries and questions about Pangaea's float trips either by phone or email, and all too often the contact doesn't leave adequate information for us to return or answer their questions properly. We like to have as much information as possible to better meet your needs and provide the best experience possible, from shopping for a raft trip to actually floating down the river. With full contact information, we are also able to follow-up more quickly when dates that you are interested in become available or fill-up.

Itinerary Changes/Cancellations
Although it doesn't happen often, sometimes trip details change, that's when we need to be able to contact you. If things change, we usually know many days in advance of your trip, but sometimes there can be a last minute change or you haven't shown-up at the specified meet time, that's when cell phone numbers are vital. We collect the data we collect to help us and you smoothly handle any inconveniences that might arise in travel.

Promotions
We also use your mailing address and email to alert you to rafting promotions we think you might be interested in. We, like you, have to wade through an incessant amount of advertising on a daily basis. We promise to be respectful and contact you sparingly. We hope that you will have had so much fun with Pangaea River Rafting, that you will enjoy hearing from us on occasion. However, if you ever want to not be contacted by Pangaea, please call us toll free at 1.877.239.2392 and leave your name and phone number (please state it very clearly and/or spell it if you think it would help), and we will remove you from our mailing list. Or you can email us at info@leaveboringbehind.com with a note alerting us that you would like to be taken off our contact list.

Sever and online Security
The information that you submit to Pangaea River Rafting is handled by a secure web site server that houses all of our email data. That data is then downloaded onto our company's personal computer and entered into our contact software.
